I’m a sixty two year old woman, healthy and physically active. I’ve been dealing with chronic insomnia for over 25 years.
Last fall, after having tried other approaches, I finally decided to try acupuncture. Over the years, I had relied on various pharmaceuticals to help me sleep through the night, and had now been using Ambien nightly for over 15 years. I knew this was a poor choice for sleep, and toxic for my body, but I felt panic at... Read more »
I want to pause and thank for all of the excellent and compassionate care you have given me over the last two years. It has greatly helped in my healing physically and emotionally (connected, of course!), and you have been so wonderful, knowledgeable, and kind to work with. Thank you for helping me through such a challenging time in my life!!! I’m happy to say that I’m continuing to do as well as possible, and am very grateful for that,... Read more »
First time acupuncturee to Bull City, was welcomed to a space that is naturally lit, clean, with the feel of an art studio; i.e., something creative is going to happen here. Cleaning
Part of celebrating the Chinese New Year (February 19) involves cleaning. Traditionally, homes are cleaned before the New Year, but sweeping and dusting isn’t done until the third day after New Year out of fear that good fortune will be swept away. The floors can be swept, starting by brushing the dust and dirt towards the middle of the Continue reading
2015: Year of The Goat
2015 is the Year of The Goat in Chinese astrology. Ranking eighth in the long list of animals tied to the Chinese zodiac, people who are born under this sign are said to be calm, mild-mannered, good-hearted, sympathetic, dependable and intelligent. They also prefer to avoid being the center of attention – a trait that’s rare among other Chinese zodiacs. Continue reading
Sticking to your New Year’s Resolution: The Trick is Not What You Think
It’s New Year’s again. It’s time to make a resolution.
And you know the drill. You set goals. You work on them for a couple of weeks. You begin to flag.
Many times you give up by February.
Your New Year’s resolution becomes a distant memory until the next New Year’s when you feel slightly guilty and begin the whole Continue reading
How to Unhook Your Logical Brain and Gain New Insights on Last Year
You’ve probably heard of right-brained vs. left-brained activities.
Right-brained activities are creative, intuitive and subjective. Left-brained activities are linear, analytical and logical.
It has been a popular myth that people prefer right-brained or left-brained activities because they have a dominant side of the brain. It turns out that while certain activities are wired on one side of the Continue reading
