I feel extremely fortunate to be under your care. I had struggled with most of these health issues (feeling cold, night sweats, chronic fatigue, irregular menstrual circles, high blood pressure, poor digestion, dry skin, brittle nails and a lot of other small unexplained issues with pain and mood) for five years prior to seeing you. I saw several doctors who performed expensive tests but came up with nothing or gave me... Read more »
Jon,
Working with you on my digestive issues over the past six months has been a wonderful experience during a very difficult time. Throughout all the doctors (primary and emergency care) that I have seen, I always knew that working with you would lead me in the right direction. Your dedication to healing is an inspiration, as is your calm nature and keen ability to listen. Thank you for all of your help!Early morning on a Midsummer day, my habitual response to a painful knee joint accelerated into excruciating pain. In shock and fear as I moved my foot a quarter of an inch, I felt intense sharp stabbing sensations in my right knee joint. Moxibustion
What Is Moxibustion?

Moxibustion is a traditional therapy rooted in East Asian medicine that involves the application of heat to specific points on the body using moxa, a dried form of the herb Artemisia argyi (commonly known as mugwort). Moxibustion and Dysmenorrhea
A study conducted by Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has determined that the use of moxibustion at specific days during a woman’s menstrual cycle can decrease pain associated with menstruation. Dysmenorrhea or painful menstruation is a big problem for many women. This study used moxibustion, an accessory modality of TCM, to treat the pain associated with menstruation. The study and its systematic review showed moxibustion treatments were more effective at relieving pain only when the moxibustion began prior to the onset of actual menstruation. This is also the theory behind Traditional Chinese Medicine, that it should be used as preventive care. The efficacy of using moxibustion during the premenstrual time period holds great promise for those who are debilitated by dysmenorrhea. continue reading
